BODY-MIND CONNECTION FOR HORMONAL HEALTH

We are in the midst of a bad mood epidemic and everything is connected—food, mood, gut, skin, and hormones. This has become increasingly common and perceived as normal nowadays. Bad moods may be common, but it is NOT NORMAL. Mood issues are indicative of imbalances in the body.

When we feel overwhelming guilt or shame, experience PMS, or have a major negative reaction, this is a sign that we are encountering a “false mood”. Our brain is responsible for most of our feelings and not all are true. Some negative emotions are normal and necessary, but most that we experience are not.

In order to access our true moods/needs, we need to increase neurotransmitters like serotonin, catecholamines, GABA, and endorphins. Many of us are deficient in neurotransmitters. When you have enough neurotransmitters you should feel positive, confident, flexible, energized, upbeat, relaxed, and full of happy and vibrant emotions.

Our brain and body chemistry contributes to our overall moods, and can be sustained through nutritional/supplemental support and sometimes through psychological support like talk therapy or psychotherapy. It is also vital to connect to our three centers - mind, body, and feelings. We make most decisions with our minds, but we need to include the body and emotions, too. What does our gut tell us? What feelings are coming up for us?

When we work with our mind, body, and feelings in unity, everything works in harmony. This not only provides us with insight into ourselves, but can increase our level of consciousness. When we are more conscious in our day to day lives we are more present. When we are more present we are more aware of our essence and inner being.

We are less reactive and more receptive. We can accept ourselves and whatever life throws at us with more clarity and responsiveness. We can reclaim our vitality through finding balance in our life and our hormones.
